Friends of the Fern Creek Library is a non-profit, volunteer group. We are dedicated to improving access to books and educational programs at the Fern Creek Library branch of the Louisville Free Public Library in Louisville, Kentucky.
Fern Creek does not currently have a library. Our branch of the Louisville Free Public Library was closed in June, 2019 as part of Louisville Metro Government budget cuts.
A state-of-the-art $16.5 million,18,000 square-foot Fern Creek Library is in the planning stages and is expected to open in the spring of 2026.
The Friends of the Fern Creek Library group meets every other month until the new branch opens in 2026. Then we'll return to monthly meetings. Please check under the Upcoming Events tabs for our next meeting.
